Music Technology
In music technology, my group and I have managed to get together some footage for the music video that we are filming. The footage is a collection of cutaways that will be used to tell the narrative of the rap that our artist has recorded. We are currently mid-way through editing the video.

Photography
Most recently in our photography lectures, the rest of the group and I have watched two videos that tell the history of photography since it started up until the mid 1900's. Our lecturer has given us tasks on the video that is useful as it helps us engage with the current work.
Graphic Design
In our most recent graphic design lectures, the rest of the group and I have been using different templates and pictures to help make a front cover for our graphic design portfolio. We will be making three different front covers before choosing our favourite one.

Film
In our most recent film lecture, the rest of the group and I helped promote a scheme called Go!Penzance. Go!Penzance is a scheme that allows people to hire motability scooters which will help them travel around Penzance with ease. We promoted the scheme by filming people using the scooters and we hope to edit the footage and make it into a video that will be used to show people what Go!Penzance is about.

Music Technology
Most recently in our music technology lectures, my group and I have recorded the artist that we are trying to promote using different media. We have also filmed him recording which will be used for extra footage if we ever need to fill certain parts of the music video that we are making.

Assignment 2: Plan, Pitch
On the 13th October, the rest of the media class and I had to do a pitch in our groups in front of the class. The aim of this was to present our ideas about the music video that we are going to film, and gain audience feedback from the rest of the group. We had to present these ideas in the forms of mind-maps/sketches/drafts/designs/storyboards. We also had to include a time management plan which shows the time scale we wish to complete certain parts of Assignment 3 by. The Proposal was another resource material that we had to present, and this was basically the brief overview of the whole of our production that will be completed in Assignment 3.
The many of our ideas were split into two categories - The video and the Brand. The video category was about the narrative, location and the performance. The brand was about how we wanted to promote our musical artist. This was things such as his image. For example, we wanted to promote the artist as and urban looking artist with lots of charisma.
Most of the audience feedback we received was positive, and we gained helpful information from the audience that will help us when filming our music video.

Photography
Our most recent lecture was again spent in the Dark Room. Although we have spent most of our lectures so far in the Dark Room, there was still room to develop our skills in this area of Photography because we have not yet gained all the knowledge about this part of Photography that we need to have by the end of the Diploma.

Graphic Design
In graphic design, the rest of the group and I further familiarised ourselves with the program, Photoshop. We continued using different tools and effects to change the look of our faces that we took pictures of using Photo Booth on the Apple Mac's. This lesson gave us a chance to brush up on the skills we have learnt so far and also the skills that we have maybe forgotten along the way. Although we did not do anything new, this was certainly a productive lesson because the development of our skills in this lecture will help us in future lessons.
Film
Like we have in music technology, the rest of the group and I have further researched into the ideas we have for the music video we are going to film. We have looked into videos that are similar to the one we want to film and plan on developing our ideas by watching these videos. One of the videos we have watched to help develop our ideas, is Where Is The Love? by The Black Eyed Peas. We chose this video because it shows a serious message, and the band present this message in urban clothing and the whole street look, just like how we want to promote our artist.

Music Technology
After completing the branding side of our mind map, the rest of my group and I have begun trying to jot down ideas about the music video. The branding will help us with this because we can include ideas about the image we want to give the music artist, in our music video. This, and other aspects of the branding side of the mind map, will help with things like the narrative, performance and location of the music video. We have also started to research into the ideas we have for the music video, by looking at videos with similar locations, performances and narratives as the one we want to include in the video we will soon film.
